Raise New Hampshire Property Taxes for Out-of-State Health Care Investors?
!
!
In New Hampshire, county property taxes pay for most state Medicaid long-term care, and the total expense is largely controlled by two things: (1) a cap on new nursing home beds and (2) what's called a "county cap" on property taxes going to long-term care. House Bill 548 would effectively bust both caps! It would allow out-of-state investors to open new nursing homes that would adversely impact both existing Granite State nursing homes, at a time when they're struggling with a staffing crisis, and the county property tax system that supports vital nursing home care.
Tell your state legislators to say NO to new taxes to subsidize out-of-state investors and NO to HB 548!
Put NEW HAMPSHIRE taxpayers first!
